As mentioned in an [link id=’393′ text=”earlier post”], I’m using the Infinite Scroll plugin to automatically load older posts on-demand when reaching the end of the blog.
Today, I updated from version 2.0b2 to the latest version 2.6 with the effect, that the whole site wasn’t working anymore. Only a blank page was displayed. So I downgraded to the latest 2.0b2 release to get things working again until the latest issues get fixed. Since it isn’t possible to downgrade a wordpress plugin easily, you have to perform the following steps:
- Go to Settings/Infinite Scroll and write down your current configuration including selectors and javascript snippets
- Deactivate and delete the Infinite Scroll plugin
- Download the latest Infinite Scroll v2.0b2 plugin from the developer plugin page
- Upload and install the plugin
- Configure the plugin with the old settings
- Enjoy!
Today’s lession learned: never change a running system ;)!
It would be great if wordpress could make the process of a plugin downgrade more convenient. But for now everything is back to normal. I’ll keep you updated if I’ve found a way to get the latest version working together with lightword.
Did you experience the same or similar problems while updating from 2.0 to 2.5/2.6? Did you find a solution?
